As a member of our security team, you’re the key to the safety and well-being of our passengers.
But there’s more to it than that. You’ll embody our customer service values, as an ambassador for our airport.
Welcoming each new person, you meet with a smile, your positive, friendly attitude will help put them at ease as they complete their security checks.
You will ensure they look back on their airport experience as a positive one.
As a Security Officer your daily activities will include conducting safety checks on our passengers, our staff and their belongings, monitoring access to secure areas and patrolling the terminal.
You’ll be vigilant, and ready to identify potential risks and threats. Your presence will help our passengers feel safe and secure as they head off on their travels.
You will also attend regular training to keep your knowledge and qualifications up to date and learn new skills.
Coronavirus update
We have worked hard to make sure we protect our colleagues as much as possible during the current COVID-19 pandemic and have followed all the government advice to make sure that we are a COVID secure workplace.
This has included but not limited to providing face coverings, gloves, Perspex screens, and access to hand sanitiser stations.
Although we have worked hard to reduce the amount of contact with people where possible, there are still aspects of the security role which requires contact with people such as conducting body and bag searches.
